England - Yorkshire to Peak District

After leaving Calke Abbey, we drove to nearby Repton Village. We love the thatched roofs on the white washed houses that are centuries old. It is a quiet little village in Derbyshire but apparently it has some impressive history. It was once the capital of the ancient Anglo-Saxon Kingdom of Mercia.
